Jesuit Alumni Association is an international body of former students from hundreds of Jesuit institutions spread out all over the world. The “World Union of Jesuit Alumni/ae Association”(WUJA) was established on July 31, 1956 at Bilbao (Spain) during the 1st World Congress held on the occasion of the fourth centenary of the death of Saint Ignatius of Loyola. Its purpose is to unite, in one common apostolic effort, the spiritual and cultural forces of all former students of all Jesuit educational institutions, joined together in their local, regional, national and international organizations.
The Indian unit of World Union of Jesuit Alumni Association is called JAAI (Jesuit Alumnu Association of India). The 6th National Congress of JAAI was held in St Xavier’s school Patna from 4-6 February 2011. The Jesuit Alumni Association of India consists of four geographical Zones and each Zone shall consist of several provinces as follows:
- The South Zone shall comprise of Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Madurai Provinces.
- The West Zone shall comprise of Goa, Pune, Bombay and Gujarat Provinces.
- The Central Zone shall comprise of - Dumka-Raiganj, Madhya Pradesh, Hazaribagh, Jamshedpur and Ranchi provinces.
- North Zone shall comprise of Calcutta, Patna, Darjeeling, Delhi and Kohima Provinces
All the provinces have their state bodies to coordinate the activities of the Jesuit Alumni association of the state .The Jesuit Alumni association of Kerala (JAAK) was formed on 16th April 2010 during the general body meeting. In the last meeting held at Lumen Institute Cochin on 8th August 2010, Mr. Jimmy Antony Choolackal and Mr Joseph Elamkulam were elected as President and Secretary of JAAK respectively. The director of JAAK is Fr Jose Mathew Vayalilkalappura SJ.
Alumni Association St Michael’s School, Kannur
St Michael’s Alumni Association is very active and it has been functioning vibrantly for many years. They are very co-operative in all the ventures of the school. Their service and support is very much appreciated. The names of the office bearers are given below. The members of the St Michaels unit meet on every 2nd Saturday evening in the school.

The Alumni association, St Michael’s Kannur is at present actively supporting the management and PTA in the construction of the new auditorium. All office bearers of the association make an appeal to all our old students to generously contribute to the Auditorium Fund.
